Mark Crowley...
is a PhD Student in Computer Science department at UBC in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Teaching
I greatly enjoy teaching and try to do as much of it as possible. This summer 2008 I will be teaching CPSC 211 - Intro to Software Development. I also hold the position of TA Coordinator which involves various responsibilities for teaching assistants, their evaluation and training.
Research
My research deals with planning in large spatial domains where there is a great deal of uncertainty such as forestry planning. I work with David Poole and his FOPI research group. I am also interested in many different areas of AI and computer science and I'm always eager to talk to people about my ideas. Take a look at my CV if that sounds interesting and you are looking to hire a postDoc/faculty/instructor sometime in mid-2010 :)
Personal
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, travelling with my wife and staring at the stars and pondering the meaning of the universe.
